(A Group) Racers: Intended for racers and very experienced track riders. The pace is extremely fast and there are no restrictions on safe passing. (B Group) Advanced: Intended for experienced track riders who are capable of riding at an accelerated racetrack pace. Safe passing is permitted with at least a 6' cushion. (C Group) Intermediate : Intended for riders looking to ride in a non-competitive atmosphere. We recommend attending our Racetrack Orientation Class for new track riders as an introduction before your first track session. Courteous, safe passing is permitted with at least a 6' cushion. On and off track guidance is available just let registration know. How to choose your group: Choose from a laptime that best reflects your ability, if you are unsure please choose Group C and if you do not belong there we will upgrade you during the normal group rotations. - Lap times at Infineon: 1.50 and below (AFM Course)
- Lap times at Thunderhill: 2.06 and below
DRAG RACING RULES FOR BIKES 10.00 SECONDS & SLOWER
- Operational tail light required for night operation. A brake light is also recommended.
- Operational front and rear brakes required on all machines.
- Positive ignition cutoff switch required. Operable tethered kill switch required on all drag bikes running 10.99 or quicker.
- Positive fuel shutoff required on all motorcycles.
- Throttles must be of positive spring return type.
- Chain guard required to extend the entire top run of chain to center of rear sprocket.
- Leather jacket, closed back leather gloves and leather boots or shoes (above ankles) mandatory on all bikes. Leather riding suits are encouraged. Full riding suits required on all bikes 10.99 or quicker, or exceeding 119 MPH.
- All riders must have SFl 31.2A or 41.2A or Snell M2000, M2005, SA2000, SA2005 or newer rated full-face helmets.
- All riders running quicker than 10.00 seconds must have a valid NHRA competition license.
